A Nuclear Free Australia?

The Federal Government has a plan for Australia. It wants to build 25 nuclear power stations and and international nuclear waste dump. The Government says nuclear is safe. But what they won't tell you is that there is still no safe proven method to safely dispose of highly toxic radioactive waste. The waste remains toxic for hundreds of thousands of years. Don't risk a nuclear future.

Given Nuclear vs Coal, id take Nuclear! COAL IS ALREADY poluting and killing us on a massive scale! where as we can always put a few boxes of nuclear waste down some mountain for a life time!

In France they are recycling radioactive waste right now. And in Sweden they are digging radioactive waste down in swedish mountains.

Albert Einstein once said, "Nuclear Power is one hell of way to boil water". There

are many non-toxic ways tp turn a wheel! Chernobyl NPP meltdown did not happen

because of waste disposal problems. Nuclear power will sicken, maim and kill all

What a load of crap. Funny how greenies ALWASYS WILLFULLY ignore France. Where they have been recycling nuclear "waste".

95% can be recycled. At the moment we are on 38%, meaning it takes about three times to get it out. Of that 5% thats left some 3% is used for medical. Leaving 2% whose products are used in everything from smoke detectors to computers.

But America doesnt recycle they bury. And so all debate is concentrated on that.

there are proven methods for radioactive waste disposal. The french have a method of breaking it down into usable fuels. there's a method of tectonic subduction injection where u can put the stuff under the earth's crust using deep ocean containment vessels. once injected the materials will not resurface from underground till millions of years after it has become non radioactive. both methods are extremely cheap compared to the overhead of the coal industry.

Let me get this straight. All the "greenies" out there are complaining about Global Warming but if we propose something like nuclear power which doesn't release any pollutants in the air they'd rather keep the coal stations which actually release more radioactive substances than a nuclear power plant. we need nuclear energy if we dont switch to more nuclear based energy production to meet energy needs half the world will be under water in 50 - 100 years if we keep burning coal and bullshit
