Heeheehee, Contra and/or square dancers'll pick out moves still used today. For the first dance for example:

Bow to partner, bow to neighbor, right-left through, and once again,

promenade all the way around, ladies chain to neighbor, courtesy turn, then chain back to partner, courtesy turn then balance and swing.

This is a beautiful video and thanks tamadance for posting it! I had to do a quick Victorian Ball and I couldn't have done it with out this. So helpful!!!
