Video of how to signal correctly at roundabouts http://www.driving-test-success.com/roundabouts/roundabouts.html
==============================
EDIT: There seems to be some confusion among some commentators about the correct use of indicators at roundabouts when going straight on. Below is some further information, please read before posting;

Highway Code 186
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/TravelAndTransport/Highwaycode/DG_070338

When taking any intermediate exit [straight on].... * select the appropriate lane on approach to the roundabout * you should not normally need to signal on approach * stay in this lane until you need to alter course to exit the roundabout * signal left after you have passed the exit before the one you want

Annoys me when you see sloppy driving by the Police, they really should be setting an example.

  • sorry to mention this but was this taken on a mobile phone?

  • @robertsmedia Hey .. I use a bullet cam. I bought it for motorbike track days but haven't done one in a while, so use it on the push bike for insurance purposes.

  • You don't have to indicate on a roundabout at all if you're travelling straight over. Although it may be easier if people do, it's not the law to.

  • @uzijn Hi. Yep, people are required to signal before their exit even when going straight on. See description, some useful links in there.

  • You sir are a pedantic prick!

  • @Weeman44444444444444

    Brilliant, well done.

  • Not indicating when exiting a roundabout is a pet peeve of mine. It just helps traffic flow!

  • @TheDafarr This is definitely the UK. I recognise the vehicles, police & registration plates. Also, his accent.

  • @uzijn ya not sure where this is maybe uk but in auz you dont have to but they only just changed it like a year ago

  • @jonredhornet I've always been taught that you don't have to. I'll check out the links, thanks. What pisses me off is when people don't indicate when going around the roundabout but then indicate when leaving it.

  • @BeneyGesserit Does anyone bother with the Highway Code any more ???

  • @BeneyGesserit yes ...who looks like one now? you always indicate when exiting a roundabout.......there's to many idle bastards on the road who just couldn't be bothered to do this ....ITS SHIT SELFISH DRIVING!
