Flipside of "Maybe, Maybe, Baby" released in 1966 on Capitol 5732 by the Central PA blue-eyed soul group led by Dave Bupp & Buddy King. Both sides of the 45 remained uncharted. By the way, if you share my philosophy, "never grow up, never grow old," come on over to my blog, Shady Dell Music & Memories at www.shadydell.blogspot.com. See you there!

  • I couldn't agree with you more, DaddyC. Fans loved every track on that first Capitol album. It was essentially Mag Men Greatest Hits, Vol. 1. Those are the kinds of songs that folks want to hear at reunion concerts, not covers of somebody else's million sellers. I'm surprised Dave didn't see it that way.

  • Great dance tune! I think you'll agree that this is indicative of what they sounded like "live". When I played bass for The Mag Men at their reunion shows in 1983-84, I begged Dave to do this song, along with "Keep On Climbing" and "Do A Justice To Your Heart". His reply was always..."Nobody wants to hear that shit!" He couldn't have been more wrong. Better to do their material than some of the covers we did, like "Knock On Wood", "It's Your Thing", etc. Their originals were truly great!!!
