So I just found out how bad and drying sulfate shampoos are to your hair, so I purchased a natural and sulfate-free shampoo by Burt's Bees. There are so many sulfate-free shampoos out there, just read the ingredients. :-)

  • Great vid! It's crazy because my sister and I was just discussing the same issue, about sulfates in shampoo's. Let me tell you since I've been religiously watching everything I put in my hair. For the first time since childhood my hair have grown pass bra strap length.

    Its a bloody miracle!!!

  • Congrats!!! I love hearing things like that :-) Our hair is like our body, if the right things don't go into it, then its health will suffer. I'm so glad that you could grow your hair long with a little extra care ^_^

  • omgee i hope at the hair salon the shampoo is sulfate free.. is it...

  • Most of the time it's not, but going to a salon isn't a weekly thing so it won't hurt if it's only once. Don't worry :-)

  • All sulphates are not all bad. Its what causes the shampoo to lather up and clean the hair. That's why you should always have a good conditioner afterwards:-) Some people do have reactions to sulphates. I'd like to try Burts Bees just to see how it is. But the sulphates don't worry me,lol.

  • Burt's Bees is good, plus it doesn't make me cry when it gets into my eyes. Am I the only one who has that reaction? X-D lol!

  • Use more BURTS BEES> ORGANIC NOT ANIMAL TESTED ON DOGS! non animal tested brands like pantene tresemme will stick it in there eyes and make them swallow it to see if they have allergic reaction.

  • well its actually a good thing for a clarifying shampoo to have sulfates in it. only sulfates can get rid of stuff like silicones (if they're not soluble in water which most arent). but if you use no silicone-products i guess you basically dont need sulfates at all.

  • not just sulfate but all the big words you cant read are bad too. if you dont know what it is you probably dont need it, and it is bad for your hair.

  • thumbs up for the crazy lady in the shampoo isle!

  • Oh im gonna try it!

  • Hey girl, I'm loving your videos, but I just wanted to say that the L'oreal EverPure line still has sulfates in it. Unfortunately they lie about it and the sulfate is called Disodium Laureth Sulfoccinate. I was fulled too, also the Sally's brand of silk elements color protecting non sulfate shampoo has the same thing. False advertisement always gets people. lol

  • Hi Windada, thanks for this video. I have been looking for a fulfate free shyampoo.

  • if you have a shampoo with sulfates that works for your hair by all means keep using it.. if its okay on your hair its fine. for people using sulfates sodium laureth sulfate and sodium lauryl sulfate are NOT the same. sodium laureth is the better half lauryl is more harsh, and girllll! lovin ur personallity

  • omg!!!....that was me yesterday!

  • Lol! I must be needing mental medicines because I'm at the store for about an half an hour looking at the hair ingredients. Any ways, sulfate free shampoos is very good. I just bought a sulfate free shampoo by Kera Kare and my hair is loving it!

  • ok in better responce to what you said if the salon your going to does not have sulfate free shampoos then you need to find a better salon... because any truely professional salon will have sulfate free shampoos with brands like "aquage" or "pureology"... sorry if this info is useless as i see you posted this very long ago
