[High Quality] Tron Legacy OST - Recognizer (Original Version)

Unaltered and original soundtrack version - not high pitched like others on YouTube. I love this soundtrack from the Tron Legacy OST by Daft Punk. "Recognizer" has a suspenseful, dramatic, and grand-scale feeling to it when you listen. My favorite part of the track starts at 1:45. Awesome music.

A Recognizer is a hovering vehicle originally created by Kevin Flynn in 1981 for his video game Space Paranoids. However, when Ed Dillinger stole Flynn's games, the vehicles became part of the game grid and were used by the MCP's army to capture conscripts and programs. It is extremely big and made an unique ominous sound when hovering, similar to a helicopter. It captured programs by rotating its "legs" to make a single limb and literally "stomp" on the program, however this doesn't harm the program but just simply captures it. What happens exactly right after a program gets "stomped" on by a recognizer is currently unknown.

During his escape from the Game Grid, Flynn came across a destroyed recognizer. With his User powers, Flynn accidentally reactivated the recognizer and it automatically reassembled, though one of its landing feet fell off, which caused it to have difficulty turning. Flynn comments that the controls are, "just like the old arcade grips". He was able to clumsily pilot the recognizer to the main city of Tron, where he crashed and destroyed it completely.

In Tron 2.0: Killer App (GBA), recognizers are fitted with a cannon, similar to the cannon of a tank. The position of the cannon on the recognizers body is on its shoulder. In Tron, Flynn stumbles upon what he thought was rubble, but turned out to be a recognizer cockpit. The recognizer can be flown by just 1 operator, although most carry 2, a driver and radar/radio operator. The total capacity is 1 driver, 1 radar operator, 1 radio operator, and a commander.

Recognizers can also be called on by Programs in Disk Arena who find a Recognizer power-up in Tron Evolution: Battle Grids. The Recognizer will then blast the enemy program from above, in time with the game disc which strikes that program.

Since you mention it, why are so many film score clips always pitched up half a step on YouTube? It always sounds wrong.

@hambone1138 I know, it sounds horrible when the music is altered - I can't stand it either. People alter the sound because they don't want YouTube to block the video due to copyrights.  YouTube has a system that can detect videos with copyrighted material. However, the higher pitch goes undetected. Mine is the original (unaltered) and I got lucky.

i am so pissed that they used my fav song in the resident evil trailer, i mean im kinda happy because they finally used an epic song for a women in a movie that kicks ass but im 15 and i knew this song long before this new trailer for re cameout, its my dream to become a director when i grow up, and i was planning on using this in my movies trailer(not joking around here) so im a little pissed!
