I wanted to make a short video hoping to help out people who have just bought a juno-g and want to use the song recorder but don't know that you have to be using the preset template 002 that is specially designed for that. There is also a way to pull the effects from patch mode so that you can still use the sounds as they are in that mode, but I ran out of time to explain that. Maybe I can do another video explaining that, but for now I hope this was helpful in showing a simple way to create intresting drum layers simply by coping midi from one track to another. Also any drum sound can be modified and saved unto a card.

  • very good, also if this wasn't just totally cool of Roland, they released version 2, a quick upgrade to include Sampling assignment to the "pads"

I haven't fooled with it too much yet, but something to feature sometime.

  • Your right that would be something great to feature! I'm going to try to work on that. Thanks for watching... I appreciate your feedback.

  • great video, you helped me record way back when I just bought mine. Cheers, keep it up!

  • Thanks for taking the time to watch it. Your comments and feedback mean a lot to me.

  • Hey thanks you've helped me, I've not had my Juno G for long, been getting stressed as I'm so keen to get recording but the gremlins were getting in the way. However, I've just managed to make a good start on a Kraftwerk cover. I've just found out how to copy the measures on the first two tracks, I inserted measures, used one of the on board drum patterns, so getting there & I'm delighted the track is of to a good start. Cheers from Rich

  • also what is the keypad like? iv read a lot of reviews saying the key travel is poor and they arent quite full size. thinking about getting a juno g. i want it for the midi sequencer. hopefully the G will go cheaper when the Gi is released (the Gi doesnt have a midi sequencer though)

  • hi. is it possible to load midi files/mp3 onto the juno g like you can on the juno di via usb? for example i want to play backing tracks

  • How come there is barely no trance or hard trance tunes made on this hardware workstation. Is it because its not able to make that type of music very well. I need to know this because ive put 300 euro towards the 1000 euro asking price???

  • very cool!!

  • wow it is almost weird how much you sound like John Malkovich :D

  • Your video is great, it has helped me so much with my Juno G. You mentioned that there is a way to pull the effects from patch mode so that you can still use the sounds as they are in that mode. I have been dying !! to know if you can do this. Is there really a way?? I would be hugely grateful if you could explain briefly hows it done. Keep up the good work!!

  • I am wondering if youcan create synth sounds with the juno g..& how you tweak presets...

  • Still can't stop watching.
