Ah yes how can we forget Popa?

Popa's extension was gorgeous, too.

Kersten also had a great routine.

This was better than Shushunova's compulsory, if this got a 9.90 then Shu should be at 9.80 at best. Alot has been said of Mills and her last pass forward "adjustment" - I have said that I know it was a rule through the 60s, 70s, and probably into the 80s that a forward "adjustment" was generally not deducted. Dobre was equally good in comp floor as well I agree. The East Germans were awful on floor.

This should have been closer to a ten. The only gymnasts that seemed to show more extension were Silivas and Dobre. I think Marlowe was underrated, as well.

Mills had that adjustment on her last past but overall her flexibility and extension was much better than Shushunova's IMHO. I haven't seen Dorte's. Dobre's compulsory floor was devine, and the score was insulting.
I will admit, that Shushunova's compulsory floor was waaayy overscored, as was Laschenova's. I think Bogi should have been closer to the 9.925-9.95 range myself now that I think of it. By the same token , I think Dobre ,Theummler ,and even Mills of the US should have outscored Shushunova and Laschenova on Compulsory floor

The only ones who performed better on compulsory floor were Silivas and Dobre. Bogi's routine was so much better than Shushunova's.
