So High- Strange Music Inc. (Ray Dub Tribute)

This song is similar to to my "I Still Love H.E.R." remix: Just for kicks!!! This isn't a serious remix. I just wanted to make a tribute to the Kansas City, Missouri-based record label that provided a new influence for me: Strange Music. Krizz Kaliko, the original artist of this particular song, and Tech N9ne, a guest star and co-owner of Strange Music, are what I call REAL hard hip hop artist. Both artist stand as the creative force behind the label; diversifying themselves musically, and speaking the about the good and bad in their lives. Sure, some of their songs may be a bit dark, but it's the fact that the two don't talk about typical subjects in Mainstream hip hop. The fact that they fuse other genres-like rock, R&B, Opera, and Funk, with hip hop astonishes me. Thus influencing me to liberally produce other genres with no fear of repercussions. And the fact that they're guys in their late thirties shows that "Age don't count in the booth when ya flow stays submerged in the fountain of youth (In the immortal words of Rakim)".

Since Strange Music is often know for their dark lyrical content (this song is more upbeat, so don't be afraid), I decided to add a few dark melodies and put a Southern Style spice on the beat. However, I still think the original beat is better than this remix. This is just for fun, as I previously mentioned.

Don't worry you guys. I plan to do a REAL remix later this month. All of my fans who are expecting me to compose their requests (Youtube, Myspace, Yahoo, etc.), I haven't forgotten, but some of you're remixes will take longer to get to than others. Please be patient with me.
