Wow... where do I start? When I first tried henna there wasn't a ton of information available, but now all you crazy kids have access to www.thehennapage.com which is more information than you can shake a stick at.

I hope this demo gives you a nice visual starting point, but for any detailed questions, the people at The Henna Page have really gone the distance in providing a lot of info that I just can't fit into an instructional video.

I've ordered henna from quite a few places, but I last had dealings with Henna Muse and was quite pleased. You can get a kit to get you going and do your own henna for as little as 9$. http://www.hennamuse.com/catalog3.html

The owner is certified through the peer henna certification program, as there are no federal certifications, and is just a sweet lady on all accounts.

It's important that when you're searching for henna that you only buy henna or pre-mixed henna paste from reputable dealers such as those listed on Henna Page. Unfortunately, there are low grade, chemical and crap laden pastes out there that will at best, not stain well and at worst, be seriously dangerous and unhealthy. Henna is a NATURAL product and you want to make sure you're getting real henna, not some chemistry project some mystery company invented and slapped into a tube to try to undersell the quality stuff. Quality stuff doesn't even cost that much, so you have no excuse for playing Russian Roulette with dodgy paste that's pretending it's real, natural henna.

I have a few videos that I'm still trying to edit. My next one will likely be on Japanese Nail Art making 3D shapes from acrylic. n...n I hope you'll all be patient with me while I prepare it.

  • Thats was an excellent video!! Well done. Just one observation: never put yourself down!!! This work is from a guenius!!! Thanks from New Zealand - Aotearoa!! land of the Ta Moko Maori designs.

  • i were in marrakech and henna was mixted only whit water, and saometimes it produces allergy because someones use turpentine or something like that i don't remember.

  • that is awesome

  • @meandrousart hey can u plz tell me what kind of paper is the green 1 is and whr can i get em..thx

  • @lilm4lyf Oh, okay. Sure, I get you now. I agree, it could be more developed. Anything gets more developed when you plan it out before hand and have a chance to work out all the kinks but I was making all the details of this design up as I went along. So maybe it was a little simple compared to some, but I feel like as long as doing henna is relaxing and fun then that's most of what matters. : ) What I like about henna is just letting it flow and doing whatever without a constrained plan.

  • @meandrousart Well what i meant was that it is nice, but the design could of been a bit like more deveoped.. .. but i still think it is nice.. =)

  • @nicolemaryam I don't, but I think the way you make cake icing cones are the same. Maybe you could find a video on it on YouTube already if you search for that?
