is possible for me to use my laptop mouse to control the VGA display from my laptop or do i have to use the mouse that came with the MV 8800??

I don't like software because it becomes obsolete and has no future value the way a hardware synthesizer does. Unless you are willing to hang onto the original computer equipment, the chances of the newer computers, say 15 years from now, playing well, or at all, these software synths and programs are rather slim, or at best going to be extremely buggy. Long live hardware synths.

When you actually listen to what he is saying and watch what he is doing, you can't help but wonder if you are using hardware or software with a dedicated (and absurdly heavy) midi controller. Lacks the workflow of the MPCs (which IMHO actually feel like you are playing a hardware musical instrument) and simply does not integrate as a software option as well as Maschine.
