This supposition that the bible is "god's word"; what is that based upon? What makes you believe that your god had anything to do with what these men wrote? Because THEY said so? I've read it, the whole thing (not all at once!) and much of it's pretty disturbing, contradictory and violent. If that was truly this misogynistic god's own words, he's certainly not deserving of worship.

@tylerjames003 I just looked at your profile; you don't read???? There's a huge problem right there. You may not even know what perspective is, or what it means. How about historical and cultural context? You desperately need to educate yourself, or get used to being laughed at, unless you enjoy derision. Please be aware that there are many alternatives to megachurch, fundamentalist, simplistic ideologies. Get reading, kiddo. Start in a library, and use your time better than pen tapping!

Have you ever considered Word of God could mean "word about God"? What leads you to believe God wrote any of this? Men wrote all of it. Besides, these are legends and allegories. Do you keep slaves? Stone disobedient children? Force women to keep their hair long? Eat shrimp? Funny how you pick and choose, but ignore perspective. Are men threatened by women, that they feel they have to control them? How can you take the bible literally without turning off a large portion of your brain??

Maybe because they are following Gods word? 11A woman must learn in silence, in keeping with her position. 12I don't allow a woman to teach or to have authority over a man. Instead, she should be quiet. 13After all, Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14Besides that, Adam was not deceived. It was the woman who was deceived and sinned. 15However, she and all women will be saved through the birth of the child, if they lead respectable lives in faith, love, and holiness.

After looking at the Real Life Ministries website, I couldn't help but notice the distinct absences of any women in any leadership capacity in this organization.

Why is that?

And what are Putman's theological education and credentials?

If anyone has not seen these philosophies lived out, they should seek to. I have many friends brought to Christ through this church. I understand that only a glimpse may cause one to criticize, but remember "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things," Ph 4:8 NIV. Jim is a blessing to many, so it's true he'll be persecuted, 2Tim 3:12.

Unless you guys don't go to this church then you better stop talking because they raise money to:

1. make it better and help out those in need in the community

And 2. They help build houses and churches ALL over the globe! It help alot of people out and I'm proud to be a part of this church. And I'm 14 and I know all of this stuff, so why don't you?

Why don't these folks find something better to do than try to bring down RLM. After all thats what the purpose of all this is. Right? You think you should be able to see financial records? Are you a member? And my guess is that the guy with the audio of jim fixing to have him removed was an angel right? Sounds like in the video we didnt hear the whole story because I'm guessing that he was being rude is why jim was going to have him removed from the office
