José Feliciano, the amazing blind guitarist, performs his awesome cover of The Doors' song, Light My Fire.

This performance was his 1968 Grammy Award Performance that aired in 1969.

I remember buying this 45 back in the late 60's and I never had money for records. His was one of the few. I felt it beat the Doors version(which I liked a lot). An anglo schoolgirl from Washington Iowa!

I was recorded it from an old VHS with my oldtime PC more than 15 years ago and was put it in a Jose Feliciano fan web site, after I was addes it in Youtube...were they was removed my old ID...but now now is nice see this is again on the net... a little piece of story of the best cover man artist of the music world... (and guitarist...) ;)

Jose said in one of his interviews ''If youre going to do a cover make sure its better than the original or dont do it at all '' and as for Joses original material ,mostly ballads---some of the greatest songs ever written--spanish and english,,and there are many...end of disscussion.
