Over the Rainbow

I did this as a short clip for my friends at Mandolin Cafe to show what the Eastman Model MDC805 mandocello sounds like. I started playing April '09.

Have you ever played any mandolin-shaped mandocellos like the Webers or like Mike Marshall's Monteleone to be able to compare the sound to a guitar body like the Eastman?

@mst0068 No, where I live there are no other mandocellos. The closest music stores that may have them are 3 to 4 hours drive away, and I have checked them all. They do not cary mandocellos, because there is an almost zero demand for them. I got this for a good deal in Boise, ~ $1400 after they got it from another Eastman dealer. There is nothing else made at that price, unless you find a good used deal.

Mandocellos are the coolest instruments ever made. Have just this minute ordered my own Eastman MDC805.
