Socceroo goalkeeper, integral part of our 2010 World Cup campaign and FFA Footballer of the Year, Mark is also the author of the popular series of childrens books featuring soccer loving character Megs.
A fearless goalkeeper, Mark has made a name for himself both for his penalty shoot-out heroics against Uruguay with the Socceroos, and his consistent displays in the English Premier League over the past decade - hes currently considered one of the best keepers in that prestigious League.

His achievements have been acknowledged with him voted this years Football Federation of Australias Footballer of the Year, Football Media Association Award for Australias Professional Footballer of the Year, and receiving an OAM.

Mark started playing soccer for junior clubs in Sydney, progressing through the ranks as an international goalkeeper, starting with the Australian Under 17 team and then the Under 20s.

He has worn the same pair of shin pads since turning professional as a 19 year old in 1992, and has been using the same bag since 1995! He made his Socceroo debut against Canada in the World Cup qualifier in 1993, while playing with the Marconi Stallions in Australia, leaving in 1994 to play in Germany, and hes been playing in England since 1996, most recently starring for English Premier League team Fulham.

Mark was a valued contributor for the Socceroos in the 2006 World Cup finals in Germany and the 2007 Asian Cup finals. He became the most capped Australian goalkeeper during 2008 and continues to set numerous records for Australia during the 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign. Mark lives in London with his wife Paloma and children Julian and Amaya, but loves returning to Sydneys sunny shores whenever he can. He speaks English, German and Spanish.

Mark has added childrens author to his impressive resume with the series of Megs books co-written with Neil Montagnana-Wallace. The main character, Edward Megs Morrison, combines a lot of the qualities and experiences of Mark and Neil growing up in Australia as football tragics. Megs and his football loving teammates are back with brand new adventures in the fourth book in the series, Megs and the Complete Left Foot.
