Details on the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride at Wizarding World of Harry Potter

The brand new Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride at Universal's Islands of Adventure draws you into the excitement and chaos of Harry's life. As you venture through Hogwarts castle, you meet Harry, Ron and Hermione who convince you to skip a planned lecture and follow them. Upon taking their advice, you travel by Floo powder, and begin the adventure as you soar over Hogwarts, narrowly escape a dragon attack, have a close encounter with the Whomping Willow, get pulled into a Quidditch match and more.

@killerdemonchild It's very hard to explain the ride because it really is one of a kind, but it's basically a combination between the spiderman ride because you're moving through real sets and physical environments half of the time, but it's also like Back to the Future/Simpsons because the other half, you're surrounded by a large screen in the shape of a dome that gives the feeling of three dimensions. Also, you're on a flying bench, which is just a bench on a robotic arm. Great ride.

LOVE THIS RIDE!!!!! Dragon scared the crap outta me. My seat was closest to the dragon, furthest from the spider, closest to the whomping willow and furthest from the dementor (sat all the way to the right). That was the first time. The second time I sat to the 2nd seat on the left (closer to the middle) and was furthest from the dragon, closest to the spider, furthest from the willow and closest to the dementors. I love how they alternated that LOL
