I visited the Wupatki National Monument north of Flagstaff early this morning, and was thrilled to be able to see numerous magnificent, mellenium-old Anasazi & Sinagua pueblo ruins without any crowds of people or cars around. It made it more interesting for me to have those places to myself, in a way.
One of the larger of the ruins is Wukoki Pueblo, which looms like a sandstone castle out of the plateau. I had my walking stick flute (of NZT Designs), as I often do on hikes, so I stopped to make another in what seems to be an ongoing series of walking stick flute videos set in fascinating places. :)
