Since putting this vid together I spotted the upgrade to Torq 2 is £31.95 and the full stand alone version is £159.95

  • I actually think that they were drunk when they made "funky" skin :D

  • @djvladtepes Yeah, that or on filthy drugs! lol

  • Appreciate the video. You say that Torq 2.0 has better sound, do songs still sound distorted when BPM is changed like in the older torq? I used to have an issue where if I increased or decreased the BPM the song's beat would sound like a double clap, which distorted the song. CDJ's don't do that, but apparently this software with the Xponent does. Also, what song is playing throughout this vid? Thanks

  • @Darko016 You can get around that problem on both versions of torq by defaulting or simply pressing the pitch/key lock function on each deck. The yellow button with the padlock symbol on it.

  • yeah it shows on the site recommended for win7i think that might be something to check... I'll tell you as soon as I upgrade from vista again cause my sony upgrade discs wont work anymore... not sure why... but I love 2.0 so far

  • @djtavi77 I'm still using 1.5 until i hear enough people going on about improved stability with the full release. I love the new fader and sampler features but my copy has more bugs than a locust swarm! I'll load a choon up and it'll figure out the tempo correctly maybe 1 out of 5 attempts. It's crashed on me 4-5 times and my left pitch control keeps dying. Twice now the master volume has stuck and the phase grid doesn't work at all! On 1.5 everything works perfectly.

  • If anyone can help please? i have avid torq 2.3 and xponent midi controller and i know you do a right click on the mouse to set (learn) a button on xponent. but i hdid it on accident and set my toggle scratch to to play. so everytime i try to scratch it stops and plays the track. i just want to knw if i need to restore my xponent and how to do it. or where do i right ckick to scracth. please help!!!

  • I have got torq 1.5 if i upgrade to torq 2.0 everything save on torq 1.5 will it read it on torq 2.0 if get what i mean.

E.g like my save cue points & tempo anchors

  • There are so many new features on this 2.0 version. I do have the full version of this software, and it's taking me longer than I thought in one day to learn these new functions. Man, did Avid put their foot in this one!

  • I've downloaded the trial, and gone through the set up for my CDJ400's but can't get them working as controllers. Torq is sending audio through the CDJ's ASIO soundcard to my mixer so all the audio is working fine. However, as a controller, the CDJ doesn't work at all. Does Torq2 not have native support for CDJ's?? I.e. is the only way to get it working by painstakingly setting up input maps for every function?!? If so, that's really poor and it will be back to Virtual DJ for me I guess. :(

  • Thanks, nice vid!!! Can you post a video of you using the xponent with the new torq 2.0 software and his new features Is it possible to use only the xponent and no laptop or mouse controls with traq morphing? It would also be great to see you looping, play with the effects and testing some new features in the software using the xponent. My last question: When you load samples in the sample decks....are they automatically in sync with the master tempo? Thanks, greetz. from the Amsterdam
