Very good job for a novice carver. It appears to me that the learning curve for a power tool of this sort is far less than for using hand tools. The results appear to be the same too, who is going to know if you don't tell?

Tritsekk@ ya chisel and a mallet is the preferred old school method; but for a seasoned carver like me who almost lost an arm that was saved and is now half metal, these kinds of tools allow me to continue carving. The key is that I can make wood chips, andcreate art....not how.

I cant really see the point of usnig the v-tool on the machine. you`d be better off with jut the handtools. much more trivial and you can lissen to some tunes from radio instad of that noise. if you find the wood too hard, use light mallet.

is it vibrating?

Damn looks much easier with my manual "Beitel"

i dont like to use power tools, you cant feel what the wood is doing, but it works for you so stick with it!!

Great job, Power chisel Gal. :) In my opinion, Power tools for carving work is a great addition to have on hand. But you cannot beat the satisfaction you get when carving with a chisel & Mallot.
