Yea.....I was born and raised in Ottumwa, and it is a SHITHOLE!!! You dont realize how pathetic it is till you move away. This town will always be two steps behind everyone else.

Ok first of all anybody that doesnt adjust the water in the shower is a dumb ass!!!Second ottumwa is a hell of alot better place to live than kansas city.third you showed nothing of the rest of the town that you like to patronize!!!!Yes even chills n thrills!!!And if I was the railroad you would be staying in a bunkhouse stoking the fire in the stove and sharing the shower but i have a feeling that wouldnt bother youlmao!!! Now go get yourself a warm cup of shut the fuck up!!!

Listen Railscout aka Dean Hall if you are so unhappy take ur ass off the road and stay at home! Ottumwa isn't just about bars and closed restaurants, but you didnt show some of the progress the town is making. Go figure. You railroaders are never happy. You could be waited on hand and foot getting your ass kissed and you would still bitch!!!!!!!!

@wapellogirl I will agree that Ottumwa is a nice good town, and there is progress. Yes Ottumwa is much more then bars and closed restraunts. If you have access to dependable and instant transportation (like a car) then there many more oportunities of venue any where in Ottumwa or Wapello county. But when I have no car in Ottumwa, those opportunites are limited to a short walking distance. The Hotel is good, as are the employees. Thanks for comenting. DH
