@birth2end The Micro Amp will boost any signal no matter where it's headed. You can use it on a solid state amp but it won't create overdrive in the same manner as a tube amp. Thanks,

@monk986 If you use your compressor mainly as a boost, yes. However, a clean boost will not compress the signal at all, in fact it will give a tube amp a very dynamic drive. Thanks,

These are great to use in an effects loop as a nice lead volume boost. A lot cleaner and more effective through the effects loop for a clean boost, in my opinion.

Beyond that, it's just personal preference; there's no such thing as an amp that sounds like 'complete shit'... It's just weather you like it or not.

@gfacioni it will just give you a volume boost, but if your playing threw a tube amp it will give your amp that extra kick and push it into a natural overdrive
