Andre was still a good worker back then in 1984 so he sold like a champ and got busted open for Piper. People forget that even though Andre was a giant, throughout the 70s and early 80s he was a very good wrestler. He wasn't very flashy, but he was mobile, he could get down on that canvas and take a beating, and just in general was a very solid worker back then.

Roddy Piper is a wrestler I really respect a lot because before that War To Settle The Score popped off in February of 1985 in Madison Square Roddy Piper had to pay his dues by wrestling Andre The Giant, and wrestling Andre The Giant was never any easy feat for Roddy Piper, because Andre would really punish him in there and beat the living daylights out of him. Piper was still relatively new to the WWF at this time, but before he was feuding with Hogan, he was paying his dues wrestling Andre.

Schultz was Steve Austin before Austin.

I LOVE David Schultz's "ring name!" "Dr. D!!" I, actually, like THAT name better than "Mr. Wonderful."

What was the point of Andre catapulting Snuka into the ropes at the end there?

I was actually there in the audience with my mom. WOW thanks for the memories.

A good match but that payoff at the end did not pan out. The slingshot that was just stupid looking. Also we heard bigger pops when hogan came to town.

The bloody Andre the Giant climbing back into the ring is a very scary sight.
