Why do we have to fight over the meaning of this? In all importance Jesus came to this earth to die for us so we may be saved, the ultimate sacrifice of love. Praise Him.
Anti, even a child understands. My children understood about a lamb being sacrificed to cleanse sins away with its innocent blood. Jesus said no man took His life, but He willingly laid it down. He became the Sacrificial Lamb because the Bible says "the blood of sheep and goats cannot wash away sins." They were just a shadow of the Perfect Lamb to come.
I understand what they mean by the lamb of God,I'm just trying to prove to you that what is written in the bible can be interpreted in different ways,same thing with many verses that you people believe your way but other religions interpreted in another way,whatever works for you!! The bible is so confusing and even between different christians religions they argue about what they understand the bible is trying to say,the bible is the most complicated book,I wonder why God wasn't more specific!!
The same reason Jesus used parables. If you really want to know Him with all your heart, He is right there in the Bible from cover to cover. "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart."Jeremiah29:13. Also, Deuteronomy 4:29 says,"..if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul."
Anti, I printed up 16 pages of tiny print(had to use magnifying glass to read) of "contradictions" by a muslim & I began to look up each one and the contradiction didn't exist. He lost interest because he didn't want truth, he wanted to preach islam. The Bible is confused by teachers who have an agenda other than teaching the truth of God's word. "I am not a God of confusion" says God in His Word. "Even a child can understand it.."(Bible)Yet is so profound scholars never stop being amazed by it.

You sure know some interesting Christians. Up there in Lebanon, they must be catholics, or just religious folk who are not of the Good Shepherd. "Take up your cross and follow me" says Jesus.
Anti, you are being silly again. Christians sin, yes. But not habitually, or without a guilty conscience, or else our fruits prove we are not of Him. The Bible says we have liberty in Christ because He fulfilled all the law and the prophets(something none us can do). Yet it warns us not to use our liberty to sin. Period.
