Toro Nagashi or lantern floating is a Buddhist tradition to remember the dead and guide their souls "over the ocean of suffering to the world of spiritual comfort". This event of Japanese origins has become a tradition every memorial day in Hawaii. Music accompanying snippets from the event is by Rimi Natsukawa.
