CATHOUSE MAN Video 2 Aug 3, 2009

Part 2 video of Dennis Gallagher, of Woods Creek Wholesale Nursery in Monroe, WA and his most unusual cat house. He designed it and built it to house rescue cats in a safe, enriching and stimulating environment.

This part shows how the cats move from the house, via a cat suspension bridge, to the cat house.

The structure is designed so that the cats, on their own, can go from inside the Gallagher home to a connecting long catwalk that leads right into their cathouse.

Then, whenever they desire, they can return to the inside of the Gallagher house through the same catwalk without Dennis or Sharon ever having to open a single door to let the cats out or in.

And through the entire process of the cats going inside and outside the Gallagher house - and inside and outside their cathouse as well - never once do their pads touch down on a patch of open grass in the back yard which means it is virtually impossible for a coyote or other predator to get to them. They are in every sense protected inside an airy, spacious, rain shielding luxury cocoon.

Shoot some more video from the inside of the Cathouse? Never thought of that. Been a couple years since we shot the original video so it could be time for a revisit soon to do an update. We'll see if we can't get that done in a moth or so. Thanks for suggestion.

@Mehlwurm16 Well, if he doesnt have a lot of extra time on his hands, then that means he's using ALL his time to make this ...structure... for his cats. That would be one of my definitions of too much. My other definition of too much would be that man who loved his cats so much that he started building a tiny village for them so they could have their friends over. It had a bank and a bar and a city hall that he named "Kitty Hall"

I love this, your kitties are lucky! I am still searching for the perfect enclosure for my 3 cats who love to go outside but one of them was poisoned by a neighbor this summer and almost died so they are on harnesses for now. Would you come to Chicago and build one for me?? I am an amazing cook!
