I'd say possibly '86 but I seem to think it was from '87. It was not uncommon for some stations to use both types, the same year, or even the same night. WBZ and WSBK surely did...

Yeah, wouldn't it be nice if someone had taped the mid-to-late 1970's sign-offs of WPIX, with the inimitable Bill Biery's V/O . . . especially 'PIX's particular "SSB" film with the U.S. Army Band's version accompanying a loop of a flag flying in the breeze . . .
