Doog gives you a speech-free tour of the glitchy fuzz monster from Mellowtone.

Recorded with the Doogcaster2 P90 Strat into the Boss BR-8 set to a clean patch.

  • You could say the same thing about vintage guitars- some guys just stack 'em up in their spare room to look at, some guys take 'em out and tour 'em to death. Loadsa people use boutique/handmade stuff live or in the studio.

For the record, the Fuzz Factory has Buckethead, Stephen Malkmus, Tim Wheeler, Rivers Cuomo and Trent Reznor as users'n'abusers for a start. Not just for weekend warriors, eh?

  • Hey, I signed my name twice. Awesome.

Plus, like the FF, this pedal can do some very "tasteful" and "usable" sounds, or whatever othe bland adjective you want to describe some more regular tones.

  • its a fuzz pedal dumbass. how is that useless? you can keep playing the same boring shit over and over but I want to come up with new sounds. It's all about having fun with the guitar not copping the sounds of the pros.

  • sounds like my portable amp when the batteries is completely dead...

  • Great. And only cost half the fuzz factory. One question: Is this thing really small or do you have really big hands?

  • wow I like this Fuzz =/

  • I love FUZZ pedals, just F*ck!n love em....i really like the stuff at 3:51. nice smooth ultrafuzz ya know, the 8bit is solid..i think ill have one. Probably sounds disgusting with a nice trem and a keeley.

  • Sorry, I know nothing about this appliance. Was it designed to soften or sharpen sounds, as long as you can keep it under control?

It seems to me that this gadget connects sounds with moods as in science fiction novels. It gets on my nerves!

  • I've had one of these on my pedalboard for a few months now. I use it on my guitar and my bass. My only two complaints are that if you move a knob the slightest bit it changes the sound completely, so you have to be careful with it, and that if you want to do crazy stuff, it's gotta be within reach of your hands. I suggest mounting it on the body of your guitar with velcrow or something. Actually... I think I'm gonna put velcrow on my guitar now so I can do that.

  • Damn that thing is amazingly versatile! You can really take it over the top too. I don't see why some people bitch about it.

  • @ShortScaleGearDemos add st vincent to that list

  • I've played one of these. Great in a bedroom; useless on a stage.

  • this pedal is insane. holy shit.
