Dolphins- Secret Garden, Mirage Hotel

Visit to Siegfried and Roy's Secret Garden-first stop was the dolphin exhibit. The males were in a seperate tank, there were also a group of females and a baby, Sgt. Pepper who's a year old now. I liked being able to see the dolphins under the water-very cool.

I liked seeing the dolphins a lot, yes it is nice to watch this in the winter :)) isn't it?

I know it is sad they are so far from the sea, but the research that is done with these dolphins and the money from the admit ticket and the merchandise is used to support dolphin reserach in the wild and help those animals. That's what was said there anyway. These animals help bring attention to the ones in the wild to help them be safer and have better lives hopefully I think. I wanted to post them because they are beautiful and I do love dolphins, it was a chance to see them up close.

Thanks Tuks, you are very blessed that you were able to swim with dolphins in the wild. I swam with dolphins in Mexico in a huge tank/pool but I have not swam with them in the wild. These dolphins are part of the Siegfried and Roy Secret Garden exhibit and they are very well cared for, and used tor educational studies.

I agree with strangeattractor re the dolphins not being in their natural habitat.I've swum with dolphins in the wild and if you swim under the water you can hear them making their sonic calls.I'll never forget seeing my first dolphins and the baby swimming round my legs.Thanx very much for this.

I have a vacation video on here, Cancun vacation- I only had a regular camera at the time, I think there were some slideshow pictures in there of the swim with the dolphins. I keep my channel clean btw , my mom insists on it, he he he- seriously, she does so I do. Just a statement to let you know ( and I'm 48 so what does that tell you...) have a nice night!

I loved dolphins all my life too- not this vacation, but in the past few years I was able to swim with some dolphins, that was a very special thing! These dolphins are very well cared for and they were beautiful to see up close! Thank you for watching!
