EMFs are about our human RELATIONSHIP (self, and other) with land, sea, and sky, and all life that inhabits these realms... Pinon Canyon in southern Colorado is threatened by the U.S. Military - they want the land for urban war-fare training and testing. The People desire a permanent ban, set in law, that will prevent any Military take-over, now or in the future, of the Pinon Canyon lands - this is "Sacred Land" with memories written in ancient writings on canyon walls; it is an archeological treasure.

This land is in close relationship with the Huajatolla Mountains (Breasts of the Earth). The Apishiipa River is "born within the Double Mountain's Heart," and moves eastward to meet up with the Arkansas River. Pinon Canyon lives where these two rivers meet - it is where the sacred writings sleep. The song, "Sacred Land," describes a story of human legend and land in music. It is one voice for the land. May it go far for good.

Note on Song: When I sing, "Take me home," in the song, I am singing about a home that is not necessarily of this physical plane; it is about a "home" much more expansive and spacious - more of a consciousness. By connecting to sacred lands (spaces) we can be shown the sacred places in our own selves.... And I say the word, "sacred" respecting that any thing, or any one can be sacred if we choose it to be so. Perception is reality.

Thank you Jeff Martin for your beautiful photography - I could not have done this without you! (credit one photo: Anne Whitney: Cuchara Canyon rock art). Slide show design, art and music written and sung by K. Farquhar; copyright KI.RESH: A New Moon: 2/2010
