The greatest cuatro player you will ever see walk this earth! He is truly the king of the cuatro. What was more amazing was that He didn't even know how to read musical notes, he just played by ear. When he played with Fania, they would let him listen to the track then he would learn it & just know how to play along. That is true God given talent!

@202699e First, I'm not Boricua, I'm Cuban. Second, it's called a "cuatro" because it had 4 strings originally. It then evolved to 8 strings and finally to 10 strings like the one shown here. Third, the point is that it is difficult to articulate an instrument that is so short with double strings on it and this one is being played so well by an old guy. Finally, I'm glad you like the Tres Cubano. I take the Cuatro Boricua over it any day of the week.
