The 2007 Slash Disappointment

Solos are ok. By "disappointment" I mean that Slash committed the mistake of playing with two trash-pop singers like Paulina Rubio and Martha Sánchez. They are the antithesis of GnR or VR. Anyway, it's just my opinion, you can disagree.

You think because he's some sort of rockstar he is supposed to be ignorant of the other genres?

Look, I hate pop music, and mostly everything but rock to be honest but if I had a gift like Slash has, I would be a fool to stick to only play rock for the rest of my life. That's why we shouldnt have made these bullshit genres to begin with. Everyone is worried about what they are classified as. Music is motherfucking music.

And it's called versatility.

@stonerh I miss the good old days. When people made music with passion, and blues. Guitars, drums, bass.. music just doesn't have the same enthusiasm anymore. But I believe it will come back.

@saulhudson420 Have to disagree with you there.. You might think dubstep and techno are shit, I can't exactly say I'm a fan myself really.. but it's not computer generated. GOOD Dubstep/techno/Electronic music is made by really skilled musicians and producers who spend hours and hours making all those sounds from scratch, and playing them in on keyboards and synthesizers. There's a reason Trent Reznor won an Oscar..

Pretty sure Guns N' Roses are a pop band. If you break it down, the musical structure of 99% of their songs are just the same as pop songs. Yeah, so they have distorted guitars over the top.. that doesn't change anything? You mean if you played a Lady Gaga song with guitars instead of synths then it's not a pop song anymore? Yeah, of course it is. Appetite for Destruction is a badass album, but it is all pop songs.. that's what pop is. Hating Slash playing on this because it's pop is just stupid
