I don't get why they made the Disney movie Anastasia when the real Grand Duchess missing was Marie. Can anyone clarify?

Lovely video, but It is disputed whether the female remains found were Maria or Anastasia. Sadly, we'll never know, but the most important thing is that they are all accounted for.

@horsegirl360 & @strawberrycake888 They knew Alexei's remains were missing, but there was disagreement over which sister's remains were missing - Marie or Anastasia. Some time after that, what little was left of the other 2 bodies was found, and eventually the identities were all confirmed, and it is now known that it was Marie who was the missing sister all along.

@horsegirl360 & @strawberrycake888 For some time after their deaths, nobody who wasn't involved in the execution had any idea if ANY of them were dead or alive. There were a number of imposters, particularly of Alexei and Anastasia (Alexei for obvious reasons, being Nicholas II's heir, I don't know why so many pretended to be Anastasia), but there was also at least one claiming to be Olga. Eventually, most of the family was found, but 2 were missing.

Very well done video! The tragedy of the Romanovs unfortunately is continuing today in the form of terrorists killing innocent victims. 9/11 should be a wake up call!!
