Nunga Loja Daging Hon (alternate version, batak toba folklore)

A traditional North Sumatra's Batak-Toba folklore which has never been published; a mother's prayer for children within a lullaby. The refrain has been added with a traditional Western folklore for children since the 18th-century, which comprised the same token. The original song, however, has merely two verses without refrain (available in another clip).

The original lyrics and English- translation:
Nunga loja daging hon (my body is tired)
Nang nai pipit mata kon (I just want to close my eyes)
O Tuhanku jaga ahu (O Lord please protect me)
Asa sonang modom ahu (so I can sleep peacefully)

Se sa jolo sa sude (All the things I've done)
Nang hu baen na so ture (All the things I haven't done)
Sa luhut ma dosa ki (All the sins I've committed)
Dipature Jesus ki (Lord Jesus will rectify)

Now, I lay me down to sleep
Pray the Lord, my soul to keep
And if I die before I wake,
pray the Lord, my soul to take
