The Askey Code

Weird one. I was compelled to make this video because I'd been hearing it, just as you see it, in my head for ages. Hopefully the act of putting it together will exorcise it from my head.

The zombie looker is the late, great Arthur Askey (no doubt spinning in his grave as you watch), demonstrating the lurid makeup and overacting that early TV technology required of those who appeared on it.

The first sample is the opening of "Dub Be Good To Me" by Beats International.

Mace Windu is seen in his appearances as Samuel L. Motherfuckin' Jackson in, in order, "Snakes on a Plane", "Pulp Fiction", and "Jackie Brown".
