Day 2 of the SLST Austria tour Wednesday 21st Oct. For the morning we had a former Prussian G-10 0-10-0 No 657.2770, with a mixed freight train. Locations were between Ried-im- Innkreis and Attnang-Puchheim.
Did they have possession of the line to do all those runpasts, or did they fit it in between ordinary traffic, or is there not much ordinary traffic to speak of in any case?
Another great video from you Ralph. The driver was using a short cutoff and full regulator it seems on many of the views which, coupled with the cold air increasing the effect of the steam, gave a lovely spectacle.

In most cases there was other traffic but not much, so we just had to be at a station by a certain time to allow them to pass as required.

You have not seen the best yet... A driver who really made an effort to give us plenty on noise and smoke.
