For years I've let the RO/DI waste water run down the drain. Currently Fort Worth is suffering from drought conditions and that can affect a home's foundation. Since I'm collecting 250g of water for saltwater storage, I wanted to use the 750g of waste water to soak the perimeter of the house. Here's the video.

  • @krug1313 Thumbsup!

  • @ysrfreak87 They were already clean when I got them, but that didn't make me not take the time to rinse them well. A friend borrowed them, and scrubbed them extra well with baking soda, water and a brush. That seemed to work very nicely, with no fumes, risks of damage, and was very affordable.

  • Great video Mark. I use my waste for laundry, watering plants

  • Great idea. I noticed with your storage containers they used to contain sodium I think it said hydroxide. How do you clean out a used container like that so it doesn't leach what ever it had in there back in to your water? I bought a used food grade 50 gallon barrel the other day from a farm supply place and want to clean it out to use it for water storage in the garage.
