Fly Fishing Steelhead Strike w/ Jump - Elk Creek

A picturesque day fishing for Steelhead on the Elk Creek in Pennsylvania. We were guided by John from Chagrin River Outfitters and had an outstanding haul. This is the last fish of the day....I wanted the video and John wanted to hook a fish.

Pretty awesome. But put those pliers back in your pocket when youre done with them. That's a great way to lose those. I found a $200 Gerber Knife in the grass a few years ago on the shore of a river.

Sucker spawn and egg imitations were the most common pattern on this day. However, we also used minnow and nymph patterns occasionally and they wer met with equal success. The conditions were perfect and the pressure was low at this point of the season so virtually anything was going to work.....
