If I could 'like' this 10+ times, I would. I found this layman's type of Love canal clip to be so much more informative than ANY of the others. I thoroughly enjoyed this. I'm only sorry I could only 'like' it once. Very VERY informative and it held your interest.

The only question I have is how is the grass kept low? Do people with ride on mowers enter the fenced off part? Is it real grass? If so how is it kept from becoming overgrown?

We have the Johnston, RI landfill which is HUGE!! It's on Central Ave in Johnston and before the landfill got to be where it today....there were beautiful homes on Central Ave & Reservoir Ave that are gone. I drove by there abt 5 yrs ago and it was eerie as they were all boarded up & ready to be demolished. All due to very high methane levels. Today, I looked at the Central Ave/Reservoir Ave in Johnston, RI on BING maps and all you see is driveways leading to empty lots.

FIRST OF ALL I LIVED ON 101ST FROM 1970 TO 1980 THERE IS 394 CHEMICAL DUMPS IN NIAGARA FALLS AND THE COUNTY THE S DUMP, N DUMP , BLOODY RUN CREEK , AND THE LIST GOE'S EVEN A BIG BIG DUMP OFF THE 190 THERE IS ALSO 2 RAILROAD CARS BURIED ON ONE END OF THE DUMP YA THEY REALLY CLEAN THE LOVE CANAL UP! MAYBE DANCING WITH STARS IS COMING COMING ON TV TONIGHT PEOPLE ARE SO DUMB DOWN IN AMERICA !!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was the school boards fault. Hooker chemical, strangely is not liable since they told the School board it was on a toxic dump. Who the hell would move next door to a chemical company anyway? Dumb shits.

I read somewhere some kids were plaing around a swamp or some type of wetland there and skipped a rock across the contaminated water and it hissed! Compliments of Hooker chemicals.
