This is perhaps the best cartoon adaptation of spider man, or any Marvel franchise yet.
Although I still love X-Men Evolution.

@edward18517 The 90's Series was pretty clunky, I admit that. Season 3 was the best season, but other then that, it's mostly pretty clunky. Spectacular Spider Man is much better. Shame they canned it ¬¬

To me the 90's cartoon was OK for the first season and a bit after, but dear lord the pacing was HORRIBLE throughout most of it. Coupled with all the reusing of animation and cutting corners it's hard for me to watch now.
Spectacular has so much more put into it, even if the art style in TAS is more true to how Spider-man should be.

I'm sorry but I tried to give this show a chance and watched a couple of episodes, but as a fan of the 90s spiderman I could not stand this spectacular spiderman show. I have all the episodes of the 90s spiderman on dvd and I still watch it occasionally and it still holds up a the best spiderman cartoon yet to me. I am looking forward to spiderman unlimited animated series and I hope it is more like the 90s spiderman except updated.

@MegaFootballfan15 No, the reason it got cancelled had nothing to do with the title of the show; when Disney bought Marvel in December 2009, Sony was forced to relinquish the rights to produce any Spider-Man television series for the foreseeable future. Despite Marvel having the ability to continue producing the show, they chose to start their own Spider-Man show instead, proving that Marvel could give a f**k what the fans want.
