Old Victorian multi bricks being expertly cleaned using a hand axe. The bricks came from the inner core of a four brick boundary wall at the demolition of a residential institutional building built between 1899 and 1903. The mortar was a fairly sticky lime mortar but even so a high proportion of the bricks were saved. The bricks are being sold by V & V Reclamation of Hertford.
