Keynote lecture by Clemson professor Todd May on Jacques Rancière at the Radical Democracy Conference held at the New School and Columbia University on April 4/5, 2011. His talk focuses on a line from Rancière's book Hatred of Democracy which states: "Democracy first of all means this: anarchic 'government', one based on nothing other than the absence of every title to govern." Professor May is currently a visiting professor at the New School for Social Research (NSSR) in New York City. More details about the conference can be found at: http://constituentpower.blogspot.com.
