further more i have not played those two games :'(. playtv is most likely never comming north america because we use NTSC / ATSC rather than what playtv is compatable with which is DVB/T. one more thing, xbox will never be compatable with the ps3, they have a hard time getting ps2 games working on it what makes you think they're gonna get xbox games working on it! nevermind the tecnical issues, there are so many legal problems with that that its just insane! i bid you good day sir.

no that is not what you said, maybe you misunderstood me. basically there are some ps2 games that would require a harddrive attachment on the ps2. if you tried to play, for example, finalfantasy XI (which is a ps2 game that requires a hard drive in the ps2's expansion bay ) on the ps3 then the game will not recognize the ps3's internal harddrive. THIS IS WHAT THAT PS2 SOFWARE THING IS FOR!!!! it allows ffXI to regnize the ps3's harddrive as a ps2's hard drive.

yeah thats what i said, i dont even really use it much anyways, cuz i dont really play ps2 games on my ps3, only except for the final fantasies and metal gears.., they need to make software for the ps1 too..i think my ps3 can play ff7 and breath of fire 3 which is a pretty sick game, if you dont have it go get it..but i dont know about ff8..anyways ps3 is the shit, playtv is coming soon too, and i heard eventually ps3 will be able to play the original xbox's games
-
actually that is used for playing ps2 games that require a harddrive.
-
i dont think so, if you go to the playstation store, they have this ps2 software thing you can download it for free, supposedly it lets you play ps2 games..go look for it..i have a 60 gig ps3, but also downloaded it..
-
i think you have it backwards. you cant play ps2 games on the current models or the 40gb however you can play and download ps1 games on all models
-
that is true but i was reffering to the (#)gb as the model. the time he made his comment the 60gb ps3 model that i assumed he was reffering to was no longer in production and was replaced with the 80gb which is why i made my comment. Further more i doubt that he wanted to get a 60gb ps3 soley for the larger harddrive but rather for the other benifits such as ps2 backwards compatability.
-
dont sell your 40 gb ps3, just buy a bigger harddrive..and you can always download the ps3 softwared from online..so you can play all ps2 games, but you still wont be able to play ps1 games
-
no he doesnt mean the 80 gig, you can buy 500gig harddrives for you ps3 for only 100 dollars, theres also the 150, 320 and some other ones..
