This is a review of my two Cold Steel FGX Nightshade series knives....the larger hook shaped one is the Karambit and the smaller one is the Boot Blade II....sorry the quality isn't great...I'm using my laptop's built in camera and mic and it's not really built for this sort of thing....

  • cool video

  • thanks...the nightshade knives are pretty rad...

  • Why will they bee banned???

  • I don't have any hard fact on this...it's just what I heard from a vendor...but supposedly, one could walk through a metal detector with a nightshade knife taped to one's leg and not set any alarms off...so, hypothetically, one could take a nightshade knife to the airport and get on a plane with it, and after that...use your imagination...seems to me like reason enough for them to be banned....I've checked cold steel's site and they don't say anything about a ban.....so I'm just speculating...

  • oh, if the tip breaking off is an issue for who/e, clip off the last 6mm and reshape it with 80-100 grit sandpaper from the spine down and then blend the rest of the spine in with the new tip and re-point the tip with more of an angle so its not as delicate. just an idea i thought id throw out.

  • i think its actually pronounced something like ski-uhn du. at least according to the anglicized pronunciation. from wht i found, the gaelic is sk-in'tuh

  • Lambchops1493 your a dumbass you put it in your pocket

  • @chrispy990 Complete lies. All such blades are required to contain a minimum percentage of metal so that may be detected. And even if they can't be detected, you're walking into a WORLD of hurt with that stunt.

  • dont waste your money on these, they barely hold an edge and they are really meant for last resort defense. Plus, i got the karambit out of curiosity and the tip broke off.

  • ..what the hell is the point of a boot knife coming without a sheathe?

  • Best to order online. You get the sheathe then (I believe)

  • @chrispy990 Actually, youc ouldn't sneak it into an airport. They have more than regular metal detectors; they can project a picture on EVERYTHING in you posession. If ANYTHING you have looks dangerous... you ain't getting on that plane.

  • @chrispy990 You're that paranoid about plastic knives?

I think they make great lightweight backup weapons.

  • Sure it won't show up on a metal dector, but what will show up is it's outline which will undoubtably give away its true identity.
