There's an alarming number of lunge tackle attempts on display. It's almost like he shies away from contact unless there is a wide open opportunity for a big/highlight reel hit.

Im not the biggest fan of smaller type safeties. The trend now in CFB seems to be towards these Cornerback sized Free safeties . Makes sense I guess since everyone is throwing the ball and u cant hit anyone.Still I prefer bigger stronger cornerbacks. I will give up a little in man coverage to avoid a missed tackle that leads to a TD. Good thing is he isnt afraid of contact just doesnt have the best technique.

He has the potential, his technique is bad tho. However technique can be taught and learned. So if he develops a good tackling tech. and maybe put some bulk, he will be a good find in the draft

Hate it when I see players dropping their head to tackle, injury waiting to happen.

that's crazy! and while im on here i'd like to say that I do not like what I see from Jefferson. His coverage is supposed to be his strength but he's not that great in zone. Also, his tackling is atrocious.

His instincts are really questionable and you're right his tackling form is bad. He's got speed and he's got hands but he's going to struggle as a FS at the next level if he can get there.

I understand the trend with cornerback size and ability at the FS position, especially with the new trend of athletic TE's, but it's like they're moved to the position without being taught how to tackle. Missed tackles are the biggest killers to a defense. Form tackling has become such a rarity that it gets praised rather than expected.
