  • dont you think you should promote banning paper bags too. paper bags are way worse they do not decompose in landfills we cut down trees and it takes more energy to make a paper bag.yes plastic bags need to bee banned too but im tired of people asking for paper bags at the market thinking they are helping the environment.

  • Yes paper bags are just as bad as plastic bags if not worse. However, baning plastic is just a very small step in the right direction of living a more sustainable life.

  • plastic bags saved my life when i had oreos on mah dick

  • You have a very narrow focus Earthsense. It doesnt matter what plastic bags are made out of and there is a world outside of the USA. Foreign oil *does* make plastic bags.

BioBags break down in the natural env with UV and natural bacteria. They do not have to be injected at a recycling facility.

Plastic bags are more of a problem than just filling landfill. In the ocean they kill countless animals such as turtles, seals, dolphins etc etc. They are a menace.

Use paperbags or take your own bag!

  • i was jsut at the quickscience kick off today and i think this is an awesome idea :]

  • I admire your dedication to our environment, however some of your facts are very misleading. Plastic bags made in the USA of produced with natural gas, this means NO FOREIGN OIL. Natural gas is ethane, also NG is the USA's most abundant resource.

Also, "BIOBAGS" do not biodegrade unless they are taken to a "controlled environment". A controlled facility injects bacteria throughout the process.

Also, new technology has allowed even natural gas produced bags opportunity to biodegrade.

    Recycle!!!!!

  • Team Marine!

  • paper or plastic? the answer is neither...reusable bags are the real answer. paper bags do biodegrade by the way.
