  • Hello,

And thanks for looking at my video. Sgt. Pepper was the first 'rock' album with a gatefold & lyrics printed in the U.S. 'Help' is considered a soundtrack album and The Beatles Story is a biography and not considered a rock album at all.

    Thanks,

    Dan

  • Hey Tom,

Got it off of Ebay natch. You'll see them pop up, usually with colored vinyl.

  • Thanks for checking out my video! The inner lining that you are referring to was actually from a bootleg but according to everything written, that was supposed to be the cover. I'm not a fan of the mono either. It was groundbreaking when it came out in stereo...never heard anything like it at that time.

  • Thanks Time Machine!

  • I know...it's endless. That's what makes it so fascinating to collect. Thanks for watching! Appreciate it!

  • Found out later the OPD stands for Ontario Police Department. Thanks for looking at my video...!

  • @DanCoxRocks it's actually OPP, Ontario Provincial Police ;)

No such thing as the "Ontario Police Department"

Still enjoying your videos, I've watched each a handful of times :D

  • is great album

  • You said that Sgt. Pepper was the first gate fold, but the U.S. version of "Help!" and "The Beatles Story" was also a gate fold. Also, The Beatles "For Sale" was a gate fold in the U.K. .

  • i got this same record with the cutouts GREAT SHAPE

    for a $1

  • Where did you get the bootleg with the original psychedelic drawing? :)

  • that psychedelic inner cover, was that reprinted in a dutch version of the Album or is that an original? also I never knew of the Love message in the inner cover of pepper, interesting. I have a Mono pressing of it minus the cut outs, really sounds lousy lol
