MLB 10 The Show: RTTS. Reading at Akron, 10 Strikeouts.

My third start in my RTTS player. I gave up 4 hits and 1 BB as well as 10 Ks. I'm pitching on All-Star with all of the sliders default. My pitches are a 4SFB reaching 90 MPH, 2SFB that reaches 87, and a circle change which goes to 80 MPH. I seem to be getting a lot of players frozen on called third strikes, more than MLB 09 at least. Son I'm impressed by the way this people admire u just cuz u struck out 10 on all star mode! C'mon man I play legend mode and that's the real deal that's not for everybody i don't know how old u are but by the way u react to an all star mode performance u must be a kid. No disrespect but try legend mode u would make it trough 3 innings if u are lucky

hey man Ive been playing this game since MLB 07 the show came out. I've never had trouble but with this year's game I've had insane trouble pitching. I normally play on All-Star but I've had to move down to rookie, and I STILL get lit up every game, whether it's a dynasty with a well established pitcher or a newbie in RTTS mode, I just can't seem to get it done.

Can you maybe make like a short video with some general pitching pointers? That'd be sweet, man!

Nice vid. I got a question I cant seem to really strike out anyone in RTTS.

i have a 4SFB forkball knuckleball and a slider.

Any tips? Also I maxed out the velocity and I only hit 95MPH with the fast ball. In 09 I hit 98MPH avg and 101 max so what gives?

@viperman240 Use the forkball to set up the slider. Place a forkball on the corners, then bust a slider on the inside or outside.

As for the velocity, you have to max all your pitches velocity to get that 101 MPH fastball.

@RocketSoldier i agree i get really mad when i play it but i just cant play in hall of fame mode, knowing that theres a higher level to play in, i wouldnt feel like im doing something

Great game man and also I had a pitcher with 98 4sfb velocity and it was only throwing 92/93's, does the h/9, hr/9, k/9 and bb/9 have something to do with it as they were quite low, and what are the four mechanics for?
