This is my cockatiel aviary that currently holds 18 rescued birds from various situations. Some came in together, some individually, some were found, others had life threatening injuries and were nursed back to health. Each one has a story. The life span of one of these birds is 15-20 years. Something to keep in mind when selecting a pet bird. ;)

  • Sooty kitty, where are ur aviary located?

  • @XiaoC1st We are in Arizona, USA

  • My cockatiel went missing for 4 days and I was very worried. After placing an ad in the paper and seeing a few cockatiels that weren't mine, I had a call from nearby. My cockatiel had landed on the outside of their aviary, where injured birds were nursed back to health. I am impressed by my bird's instincts, that he was actually able to find his own breed a few suburbs away and avoid being attacked by Murray Magpies. Good work, I'm glad there are kind people caring for animals out there.

  • @ausdude159 Thanks for those kind words. I am so very happy that you were able to get your Cockatiel back. He is a very lucky bird. Birds have amazing ways of finding each other. I've had many lost parakeets visit my Parakeet aviary, and have been lucky enough to capture a few. There's nothing like helping those that can't help themselves. These guys are so precious, just as I'm sure your bird is to you. :)

  • I love the noises those cockatiels make. You're such a sweet person for rescuing those poor cockatiels.

  • Thank you for rescuing these animals and putting them in a nice place!

  • @sootykitty I love where you put the aviary. Half under the tree for shade and half out for sunlight. It's really beautiful.

  • This is a beautiful cage :)

They have plenty of toys and entertainment

    God Bless you :)

  • You have a cockatiel aviary too? That's swell. I'm gonna get a baby cockatiel someday.
