A great record, although the comparisons with Terry Knight And The Pack are peripheral. They did cut for the same label - Lucky Eleven - but the Bossmen were very much a band in their own right. They actually recorded for several different labels.
Another question: Are "The Bossmen" the same band with long bleached hair making some outdoor music shows with a van in America around 1965-1966? (I've seen this video on youtube a few months ago, but it looks like it has been removed).
No, it's Dick Wagner. Mark Farner was playing guitar and backing vocals at those recordings as he was a member from late July to the end of 1966 when The Bossmen disbanded.
However, Farner had 2 spots live:
His very first composition "Heartbreaker" and a cover of "The House Of The Rising Sun"! He obviously could level Eric Burdon...
"Baby Boy" covered by Ottawa, Canada band from 1960s - The Five D on the Sir John A label.

Thank you petegriffin!
Another gem for me to pursue and download. Is it available on ITunes?

That's Dick singing You and I. Baby Boy is also sung by Dick but Mark is singing harmony.

Wow! I've never seen the video you're talking about... Might be the same group, they formed around 1962 or so.
Anyway, you can see a Bossmen snippet in my "pre Grand Funk pt.1" video, including segments from Terry Knight and The Pack & The Bossmen.
