@NiltiacTsegrah and recall in the movie most of his guts were used to fill with garbage and compress, even at this size there isn't a lot of room for that activity. I think it's a fairly honest size and still be approachable by 3-6 year olds.

Maybe, but think about it this way - in order for him to run on his own and without a power cord, a lot of his size is likely a power pack of some sort. Hence his large size. And don't forget all the computer parts he likely needs. Plus a fan to keep him cooled off.
